School Safety Protocols
We ask that all students, parents, employees and guests to our campuses and events follow established safety protocols.
- TO PROVIDE THE OPTIMUM ENVIRONMENT FOR LEARNING
Providing a safe, secure environment where children have an optimum chance to succeed is a priority within our system.
Bulloch County Schools frequently monitors and strengthens its policies and procedures for safety and discipline to provide an atmosphere conducive to learning.
- TO ACHIEVE THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENT FOR LEARNING
For the youngest student to our high school seniors, the system's Student Handbook outlines a complete set of guidelines for appropriate behavior in the school setting, as well as consequences of inappropriate actions. To set positive expectations, these guidelines are discussed in the classroom and provided for parents
- TO PREPARE FOR SAFER SCHOOLS
A community-wide task force of emergency preparedness officials joined the Bulloch County Board of Education's effort to create an emergency preparedness plan for the district. With assistance from the Georgia Emergency Management Agency and Bulloch County's Emergency Management Agency, we periodically review and strengthen this plan. In addition, faculty leadership teams at each school customize individual school safety plans that outline step-by-step procedures in instances concerning facility or utility operations issues, natural disasters or intruders.
