Use of District Provided Technology
Students are expected to care for district-provided technology, including issued Chromebooks and Jet Packs. The cost to replace lost devices or charging cords will be billed to the parent or guardian. Failure to make payment in full or make required monthly payments to the school will result in the student no longer being eligible to use a school-provided device at home. If the parent is unable to provide the necessary technology, the student will be returned to face-to-face instruction. The district will continue to pursue payment for damages, which may include turning over to a collections agency or filing an action in court.

Parents or students may make reports of damaged devices or lost power cords to their virtual program homeroom teacher. This person will assist you with making an appointment to bring in your device for repair or replacement.
During homeroom meetings, students will be expected to periodically participate in a technology audit where students show their devices and any charger cords on camera in order for the district to confirm the current inventory of devices in student homes.
Device check-out will occur as part of the mandatory orientation program. Students will be required to turn their devices back to the Virtual Program at the end of each school year, even if they intend to participate in virtual learning during the next school year. Specific check-in instructions will be provided to you at year-end.
